I am a state social worker and alot of my clients have a quality of life in a lot of ways comparable to mine but they work nominally (10 hours per week).
Their housing, utilities, medical and food is paid by taxpayers.

This is so true and good. Im doing so much better than most ppl out here working a w2 job, making an honest wage. I save half my checks every month and sacrifice a lot to do it, but i have more money saved, invested, and all bills are paid up every month the same time every single month regardless of when my pay hits. I am so much happier and have a sense of freedom that's hard to describe. I don't buy fast food. One of the biggest things was never buying anything but gas from the "not-so" convenience stores. I'm not bragging at all, just proud of the habits i have formed over the last couple of years. It's a far better life, and u can and should attempt it, too. You’ll love it!
