So I transfered a portion from my Kraken account to the Tangem "app" wallet, so the only thing that I need the cards for now are to send it back out from the Tangem wallet for verification?…is that correct ?…or did I need to scan the card to put the balance on the card itself……complete noob here

Isn't the purpose of a hardware wallet not to expose the private keys or the seed phrase from a "hot" device ? From the time the seed phrase appears in the phones screen , isn't this a potential vulnerability on a maybe compromised phone ?
