📍 Armenia’s parliament passed a bill allowing the government to seize control of ENA, the country’s main power distributor. The family of Samvel Karapetyan, the utility’s jailed billionaire owner, said they were ready to file a lawsuit disputing any potential seizure.
📍 The Zangezur Combine, Armenia’s largest mine, paid the government more than $29 million in dividends on last year’s earnings. That takes the government’s total earnings since it took a minority stake in the enterprise several years ago to nearly $116 million.

Some oligarch shouldn't own all the grid
Great decision.Strategicly important infrastructures most be under control of government and the nation. otherwise, our enemies or even not enemies can use this structures for political influence inside of our country which one obviously was happening in our country.
What's in it for the people of Armenia? 50% monthly discount?
good news.
Corrupt oligarchs should not own Armenia's power grid – especially russian oligarchs (russian ageht).
russia (tge third-turk) is Armenia's enemy – they shouldn't own anything in Armenia.
Exellent decision!
It's called abrogation. Congratulation. RofA is a banana republic.
It should have never fallen into others hands in the first place.
Dangerous for democracy,
Bolshevik style seizure of the private property. The timing is quite curious. All of a sudden the government got concerned about consumer protection. Hm!
