It’s pronounced Tua
Far east? must be how Dhanu from India became Danu of Ireland.
Not a bad interpretation, but some things are very much off. For example, Eochaid is not pronounced "eeyokayd" but closer to "yawkid", and Morrighan is not a goddess of war and death, but rather a goddess of change and rebirth, things that war is part of.
Create a video on chu chulainn.
Your not pronouncing tuath properly and it's really annoying like atleast learn the words before ya make a video
The people of Nemed were long gone from Ireland before the coming of the Tuatha. The Fir Bolg were the inhabitants when the Tuatha De came.
FEKN YEAHHHHHHH!
Isn't it pronounced "two-ah" and not "two-ath"?
By the time the Christian monks recorded the legends of the Tuatha Dé Dannan, they seemed like divine creatures; however, there could be no god other than the Christian God in the eyes of the monks. So, the pre-Celtic inhabitants became fairies and later on, elves. In reality, the pre-Celtic peoples that survived the Celtic conquest probably intermingled and intermarried with the Celts, creating the Irish people we know today. – Kerry Sullivan.
Thank you for making god part of this.
Thank you Jesus
Im actually here because the kandahar giant had used a spear.
You can tell they didn't have the concept of a representative Republic, could have easily shared the island with a parliament head made up of representatives, but alas war is cooler I guess ..
Descendants of Noah is Ironic.😊
We can connect this story with Hinduism.
Son of Danu fight with Demi God and lost and went out from india, and they arrive in Ireland.
Why is this not a movie?
Tu(ath)a de Dannan
The "ath" is not pronounced.
Great video! Foghlaim Gaeilge a labhairt and you will speak the language of legends!
What do you mean, tracing their history to Noah?
Is this a Christian “history” page?
we may use the same alpahbet as the Enlgish language but the sounds are different. I appreciate the effort of this video but as an irishman its hard to listen to you butcher the names and words.
The lore of Irish mythology is so interesting, there need to be well writen books or series made about it
Anyone who is interested there is a man named gary wayne who speaks a lot about the tuatha
