Uncover the dramatic and often misunderstood life of Elizabeth Woodville, the “White Queen” of England. A central figure in the tumultuous Wars of the Roses, Elizabeth’s story is one of a commoner who became queen through a scandalous, secret marriage to King Edward IV. Her rise from a widowed mother to a powerful queen consort made her a target for enemies, including the formidable “Kingmaker,” Richard Neville.
This video delves into her fascinating journey: from her humble beginnings and first marriage to her unexpected royal union that divided the Yorkist court. We explore the political intrigue, the accusations of witchcraft, and the devastating fate of her sons, the Princes in the Tower. Her alliance with Margaret Beaufort and her role in establishing the Tudor dynasty through her daughter, Elizabeth of York, are also key parts of her incredible legacy.

Where the regular guy that does theses?
What demented bot put this together? The picture around 1:55 is more than 200 years later.
There is no proof Richard the III murdered his nephews.
I love this narrator’s voice. 🇨🇦
Strange question at the end by the robotic voice of the Artificial Intelligence Narrator? …. Apart from the scene accidentally 🙄meeting King Edward, we heard very little about her until a few seconds 50 minutes in and where she lived in retirement….after a full hour about everyone else but Elizabeth Woodville who lived and died at the time!
Clear pronunciation, lovely voice, thank you for the new narrator. PLEASE keep her. NONE of that DREADFUL AI thank you!
This Lady, (Susannah Corbett) can stay! 😊💯 💐🏆 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
My 14th, 15th and 16th great- grandmother thru different lines.
❤
I saw the show the white queen right after I watched this
Complicated or what?
I love the voice of the narrator, she has a beautiful voice that I could listen to hours ❤
Love the narrators voice. This was very informative, thank you.
I hate this mith that she was common she was not. From minor nobility! And her first husband lead the kings cavalry! Hardly common 😂 not noble enough to marry a king who normally Mary princess for political reasons well yes that's true
Love this narrator! I do always feel like it would be helpful to include ages when mentioning significant events in the lives of those mentioned (how old they were when they got married, gave birth, died, etc).
Oh wow new voice
@21:32 who painted that portratit? absolutely gorgeous
"Fourteen children" it's still wild to me how large families used to be and quickly they shrunk. My grandfather on my mother's side was one of 12, my grandmother had at least 4 siblings I know of. On my father's side my papa had 4 siblings, my nan has 2 brothers I know of. When my mom and I went to a reunion for my grandfather's family my mom was one of 25 cousins. Meanwhile I'm one of 6 or 7 cousins just a generation later. I hear there is a cousin I've never met but never got a straight answer if he exists XD
Great Auntie Liz 😊
Edward shouldve named Elizabeth as Protector. Her son wouldve been king. And changing succession. There wouldnt have been discontent. Margaret Beaufort wouldnt have had as much support for her son, Henry Tudor.
Wonderful video great work thank you 👍
I love this narrator. Her voice is very soothing to listen to.
Susannah Corbett is the narrator for this one. She's a British actress and author.
I never am able to stay awake til the end of these so I skipped ahead after everyone was commenting bout her voice lol
Why didn’t they continue the show i wonder ?
Elizabeth Woodville’s story is both tragic and inspiring.
Elizabeth Woodville is an astonishing woman of history! A true legend and excellent example power of the feminine.
The new narrator has the perfect voice for ASMR but I’m not sure how I feel about narrating these documentaries. I feel like these need a bit more gusto.
Where Gareth??!
Without being sexist, I approve of a female narrator for talking about female historical figures. Great choice.
Love the narrator
Love the new narrator!!
I’ve been researching my family tree and I’ve found that Elizabeth Woodville is my 18xGGM….fascinating to learn about her life…🌺😊
My great grandmother many times back through her oldest son Thomas Grey. Some of his descendants moved to America.
Very good documentary on Woodville, I do like seeing more of England's history.
Elizabeth of woodville very smart marrying Edward the 7th
This is an excellent account of a complicated and traumatic period of English history. Thank you.
Wonderful new narrator
I LOVED THE WHITE QUEEN AND PRINCESS SERIESSSS ❤❤❤❤❤😂
Can you a video on Jacquetta of Luxembourg? This amazing woman deserves her own video. A total she wolf babe.
You know, when I see her face, this lady reminds me of Rebecca Ferguson, the actress who played Ilsa Faust in the Mission Impossible films.
