As if the burdensome new small business regulations in the Democrats’ health care bill weren’t enough, Democrats are now preparing to allow tax hikes on small businesses to kick in during the new year. Republicans are committed to opposing Democrats’ tax hikes and creating an environment in which small businesses can thrive and create jobs.

I now 100 business owners who are going to china because of democrats.
democrats the party for the lazy and those with the victim syndrome. their solution takes away from business owners steal their taxes and pander to the mediocre base.
Democrats a parasites like Labor party in Australia , shrink government you would pay less tax
@Slipknotyk06 What specifically do you disagree with Ron Paul on as far as foreign relations? His non-interventionist policy? Him being the only republican to vote against going to Iraq? You do realize Ron Paul sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee right? I find it utterly absurd that you'd even think to compare him to Sarah Palin, lmfao! What experience does Paul Ryan have in foreign affairs? NONE!
@Scipio2021 – I agree. I have one MAJOR problem with Ron Paul as a presidential candidate and that is that he is (IMO) dangerously ignorant of foreign relations on a scale similar to Sarah Palin. My personal favorite legislator is Paul Ryan. He's sharp as a finely honed razor blade and has a keen eye for reducing bureaucracy while still producing existing entitlement quality on half the budget.
@Scipio2021 – I support Libertarians and many Libertarian candidates inside the GOP. People like Peter Schiff, Paul Ryan, and to a much lesser extent Ron Paul.
@Scipio2021 – The economy is not weaker because of the absence of Unions. The economy is weaker because of 2 things. Risk has been removed from the system so smart investment isn't as valuable as it once was. Government covers everybody's losses. Also, government intervention has brought forth initiatives that brought demand forward and stalled the current economy. Cash for Clunkers brought demand from buys that would be buying now, and caused the current slow market for cars.
@Scipio2021 – The people should choose the GOP because it's no longer the centralist party it once was. It's seeking to undo the utter failures of this Marxist administration, and has moved toward the Libertarian Right. Now, the Libertarians get the economy.
@Scipio2021 – Everyone has the right to take that money, the problem begins when they do quid pro quo deals with Corporations like the unending stream of bailouts appear to be.
@Scipio2021 – The vote should not have names attached to open employees up for intimidation from the Union. That's what my point has been since the very beginning. I stand for something and that's freedom from persecution by the Union.
@Scipio2021 – What has failed are the old ideas of Rousseau, Sorel, Marx, and Engalls. They have assimilated themselves into the DNC They're the ones that don't deserve our support.
@Scipio2021 – They have outsourced because keeping them in America rendered them non-competitive with foreign firms.
I pointed to several reasons OTHER THAN UNIONS that were why the 50s were so strong. Your argument is ad hoc ergo propter hoc.
I'm saying that the balance between business and unions needs to be what it is today, and that unions should be kicked out of the Government.
@Scipio2021 – Have you actually looked at which companies donate to which party and more? Or are you just sitting on the DNC talking points against Citizens United? Do you realize that Citibank, AIG, and Goldman Sachs donated nearly exclusively to Barack Obama in the last election? You're acting like it's only your opposition that can be bought.
Why is it that so many Goldman Sachs executives have become Regulators from the Fed to the Treasury?
@Scipio2021 – That's the thing, Card Check is NOT a private ballot. You're misinformed here. As current law dictates, any business's labor force can vote on whether or not to organize into a union. Card Check is attaching names and personal information to these ballots and turning these ballots to said unions. That's why I'm against it.
I'm not being evasive. Your understanding of the subject is just lacking.
@Scipio2021 – Sure, I'll concede transparency there, when you admit that DISCLOSE cleared the FEC from Freedom of Information Act inquiries. So you're going on a witch hunt against an individual while not advocating for transparency in the Federal Government.
@Scipio2021 – Chasing entire industries overseas and destroying American jobs is the Unions destroying everything they touch. What they created during the 50s, they chased overseas in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. How many American tire factories from the 40s and 50s still exist today? How many steel factories?
I'm not pro corporate tyranny. I'm anti union tyranny, as unions destroy industries, and intimidate dissenters. There are hundreds of vids of union intimidation on youtube.
@Scipio2021 – When the influence of unions FIRST started to decline in the 1980s, the economy picked up and grew incredibly quickly. It grew faster through the 80s and 90s than it did through the 60s and 70s. Look at real GDP growth numbers
@Scipio2021 – Card Check is the DENIAL of the secret ballot! They should have the ability to cast a vote, but personal information including name, address, phone number, etc should not be attached to it. Card Check attaches all this personal information to the ballot. It's been proven time and time again that this opens up people for union intimidation including threats of violence.
@Scipio2021 – Does it matter? He's not a candidate, and even DISCLOSE actually doesn't declare his donations. It doesn't declare the donations of PACs.
What about ACORN and COI? Don't we deserve to know about all their donations?
@Scipio2021 – You are deeply deluded by Marx on your second point. Unions destroy everything that they touch. What happened to US steel production? Unions ran up labor so high that it ran the business out of the country. Why are GM and Chrysler bankrupt? Union pensions. Why are individual states drowning in a sea of red ink? Union Pensions. Illinois alone has well over $66 billion in pension debt to union workers, and has stopped paying its bills. Unions destroy industry through collective greed
@Scipio2021 – A stranglehold on almost all public services from Government entitlements to law enforcement to health care workers to the post office means INCREASED strength.
They can't get Card Check because it is against the will of the American people. You obviously misunderstand Card Check. CC is where a business where the labor force is contemplating joining a union, the secret ballot is exchanged for one where the ballot becomes public, opening workers up for union intimidation.
@Scipio2021 – How were the unions negatively impacted? Ford ended its Mexican production for American markets previously to NAFTA. Ford still produces for the South American and Central American markets out of their Mexican factories. Ford is the only real company that has threatened to take its production elsewhere.
The UBC actually benefited from NAFTA because through NAFTA the cost of lumber and supplies went down and wages went up.
@Scipio2021 – There are similar rules already in effect. FEC is in charge of oversight of donors, and yes, they do display these facts publicly.
Much of DISCLOSE actually shields the FEC from Freedom of Information Act inquiries, like Finreg shielded the SEC from the same inquiries.
Are you so deluded as to believe transparency is an objective of this administration?
Are you so afraid of Karl Rove not to admit that David Axelrod is the equal on the opposite side?
@Scipio2021 – Obviously, you don't understand that every single Democrat bill introduced has had a Republican alternative. The reason for this is that most of these bills have been under suspension of the House Rules, and Republican amendments to any of these bills have NOT been allowed to be debated.
I love your snide remarks, it really detracts from your ability to debate the topics.
@Scipio2021 – You have yet to prove me wrong.
Unions have decreased in membership but not strength. You forget that nearly all Federal, State, and Local employees are Union. The Unions are in control of Education, Police and Fire. Because of this, in Government, the Unions are firmly in control. If you don't believe me, watch what happens when the police strike.
NAFTA also, in the end, benefited the Unions as a result of free trade between the US and Canada.
@Scipio2021 – I will argue that no it does not. Each party has its special interests. Obama has the SEIU. No campaign donation has ever come remotely near the SEIU donation. Has Obama been licking the boots of SEIU? Arguably yes. Has the Obama issued executive orders favoring the SEIU? no. Stating that this could potentially cause corruption is logical, however, that corruption would readily see the light of day and those involved would be escorted out.
@Scipio2021 – They DID offer an alternative bill. The Democrats didn't allow it to be brought to the floor!
@Scipio2021 – DISCLOSE was an abomination. No part of that bill was redeeming, for its restrictions on free speech.
Yet again, free speech wins against equal speech. Equal speech breeds favoritism and corruption, while free speech is a check upon the Government of the United States held by the people! Both are unlimited now, so the parties are largely on equal footing. Democrats hate it because now they have to fight fair. I don't think this will sway an election against the will of the people.
@Scipio2021 – There's a difference between free speech and equal speech. Let's take a group of 10. 9 are for X, and 1 is against it. Free speech is allowing the 9 people 9X more time than the 1. Equal speech is granting equal time to the 9 people combined as the 1. Equal speech is a doctrine in which free speech is abridged, and the 1 of 9 protected while the 9 punished. Plus, who's to decide that these ideas are on equal footing? When speech is regulated, tyranny follows.
@Scipio2021 – It's a check on the Union campaign contributions. Now both sides have unlimited, shouldn't you be happy about this?
No, I don't think that SEIU's $50M contribution is going to be outweighed by corporations donating. Citi, Wells Fargo, and most financial institutions donated roughly equally to BOTH parties while Unions donate 90%+ to the Democrats. Why should the Unions have unlimited contributions, and business limited?
Republicans… stick to your guns, so to speak, on this one!!! Good on ya!
It makes sense if you understand the agenda of Obama and the leftists. Its not about generating tax revenue or job growth. Its about redistribution of income by punishing achievers and giving the money to the 'oppressed'. Its straight Marxism. Until we admit to ourselves that this is the REAL agenda we will continue to grasp at straws. Obama surrounds himself with Marxists, sought out Marxists in college & appoints czars to help redistribute the 'wealth'.
