Clementine Churchill was far more than just Winston Churchill’s wife; she was a significant political partner and humanitarian in her own right. Known for her strong intellect and steadfast support, she advised her husband throughout his career, particularly during World War II, and was instrumental in his political rehabilitation after the Gallipoli campaign. Clementine was also a tireless philanthropist, notably chairing the Red Cross Aid to Russia Fund during WWII, for which she received honors from both the Soviet and British governments.

Churchill a great man??? Don't make us laugh. A great war monger, yes. 450,000 British soldiers alone were forced to lay down their lives because Churchill loved war so much.
A FANTASTIC DOCUMENTARY LOVE THE SKETCHES OF THEIR EARLY LIVES PARTICULARLY IN THE VICTORIAN ERA. A VIDEO THAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED.
She supported him because lovely she was devoted to him
So interesting
I've been so looking forward to hearing her story❤
Fabulous commentary of twin souls needed for world peace!
The version of that saying that I like better is: Behind every successful man is a surprised woman!
One of the best biographies I’ve enjoyed watching. Clementine was an extraordinary woman. Together, they were an amazing couple, and showed be remembered as such. Thank you!
That final photograph of them says it all. She is looking ahead while he is lost in the moment.
They were a great couple, and it is beautiful to see the love between them.
Contemporary of Evita Peron, similar political activities, yet, somehow more acceptable?????
Can’t wait for the documentary on Henry Ford !
This would be a good movie 🎬 If they would keep it rated G.. 😊👍🏽
It is unfortunate that ina programme about Clementine Churchill and her important part of her husbands political career, you choose to illustrate the role of the wife of the PM with the US President Obama’s wife Michelle. There are many British wives you could have chosen…..
Clementine Churchill had an innate amount of genuine humility that was probably not the norm in her day. She turned out to be quite the “Lady” — in spite of her troubled childhood. And I think she tirelessly supported her husband, Winston, because she genuinely loved him, and she knew he loved her. Admirably, their love stood the test of time… though I can’t help but wonder how they would have faired if they had had to contend with the INTERNET and SOCIAL MEDIA!!!😳
Very well educational program that deserves recognition for the outstanding life ,of a woman that would otherwise been put on a a shelf and forgotten!!
I really enjoyed this video as history is one of my main subjects that I dearly love.
Thank you
Kindly Sam TN.
I think her husband was a big drinker & bipolar thus he needed a very strong woman to keep it all together. 2 wars in their lifetime.
It’s a blessing to see two big contributors to the British people as a couple that had earnest love for each other. They both managed to bring out the best of the other, in turn it helped them, and Churchill’s role leading to his leadership as PM.
She was clementine Hozier not Churchill 😊
Imagine… these citizens of the British Empire worried that Adolf Hitler was harboring "imperial ambitions." The beat of it ! Quintessentially hypocritical attitude for a couple that thrived on manipulation of others for their own recognition..
Behind every great woman is a great man.
Stupid and untrue title
A wonderful documentary. I thought I knew a lot about Clemmie – but evidently not! Very informative and beautifully paced.
Where to begin? Such a strong married couple, devoted to the good and bad of their union under God. The greatest respect for Mrs.C Churchill’s humility and unselfish demeanor alway firstly concerned for her husband’s well-being, who was a powerhouse to contend with . Two humans who represent the strength of marriage through devastating challenges. This was a generation that was built strong and just got on with it!! Something I feel today’s generation seems to lack with a mindset to quit and divorce when the going gets tough. Nevertheless, a powerful couple. Mrs C Churchill was a wise intelligent woman who by all accounts was the wind in her husband’s sails. Truly enjoyed this style of a documentary, thank you kindly for this production.
Churchill was no gentleman or great, history has lied through its teeth, he was a drunk braggart.
Its called love.❣️❣️.when you love someone so much that you become one…we could do with more of that in the world today.A strong man needs a strong woman +vice versa…
Terrific story. ❤
I enjoyed reading about their deep love for one another, as well as their work together in British politics. Truly a marvelous story. Winston has always been a favorite of mine.
Couples should not have kids if they don't want to nurture them. Just be a power couple. Other than three messed up kids, the Churchills are a fascinating and inspirational couple.
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL TALENTED STATREGIC INTELEGENT WOMAN WITH A PERSONALITY & REPECTED PERSONA OF WARMTH AN COMPASSION~ A LOVING TEAM THRU IT ALL, SAYS IT ALL ❤ ~ mac🧙♎✌️
