On Friday, President Donald Trump announced a new peace and economic deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan, an initial step to stop recent conflicts between the two countries. But some Armenian-Americans in Massachusetts said they aren’t happy with the deal. WBZ-TV’s Aaron Parseghian reports.

There is no point in trying to prolong this conflict. It will solve nothing. Azerbaijan was never going to give Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia or let it remain independent. That was always out of the question. Furthermore, Armenians are never going to get Azerbaijan to apologize for war crimes. Both sides committed war crimes. Don't pretend the Khojaly Massacre didn't happen. 433 Azerbaijani civilians did not just suddenly drop dead on their own. They were killed. That was definitely a war crime. Both sides have blood on their hands. The best thing for both to do now is leave that all in the past, forget the hate, and move forward. It's time to let the hatred of the past die.
Karabakh along with Zangezur was part of Azerbaijani republic in 1918. Later bolsheviks gave Zangezur to armenia in the 1920s.
There is no ancient armenia. There was no armenian state before 1918. All these kingdoms armenians claim were foreign ones. Urartu was a Hurrian dynasty. Orontid, Artaxiad and Arsacid were Iranic dynasties.

First of all, it is not a “disputed” region just because Armenian history textbooks call it so. It is enough to look at the UN map or Google map to prove my point. Second, speaking of refugees, there is nothing mentioning about one million Azerbaijani refugees forcibly displaced by Armenia and plus massacres of innocent civilians committed by Armenian military.

Peace is imperative for those who is living there and not suffering from conflict. All other Armenian people can help supporting peace and help Armenia.
The best deal for peace and prosperity in the region: for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Saqartvelo, Turkey etc. that will open up trade routes between Asia and Europe, and will bring stability, security, business investments, and prosperity to the entire region, including Armenia! Russia is the destructive force that provoked the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the 1980s to control the region through maintaining the conflict, and preventing the countries from finding the solution! Continuation of the conflict is in the interests of ONLY DESTRUCTIVE FORCES IN IMPERIAL RUSSIA AND IRAN!

This was another one of Trump's many dog and pony shows for self-promotion as peacemaker. This is nothing more than a bandage on a bleeding wound. How can this be called road to peace when there was no mention of the fate of hostages and the displacement and ethnically-cleansed 150,000 native indigenous Armenian population from their homeland in which they had lived for thousands of years. When both independent Armenian and Azerbaijan republics (1918-1920) were absorbed into the USSR in 1921and became Soviet republics (Armenia-SSR and Azerbaijan-SSR) both Karabakh (Artsakh in original Armenian) and Nakhijevan (Naxcivan in Turkish) (The name in Armenian meaning the Original Resting Place of Noah) were taken from Armenia and placed under Azerbaijani jurisdiction and control. Later on, Nakhijevan was ethnically cleansed of native Armenians by 1979 through racist Azerbaijani policies and Artsakh (Karabakh) was was on the same path and we put a stop to it with our 1994 victory and lasted for thirty years. Peace has to be comprehensive and all inclusive to produce any positive result. This was another one of Trump's real-state like transactions to have a foothold in the South Caucasus. This will cause major problems in the long run because both Iran and Russia are opposed to any western presence there.
The Soviet atheists majority of whom were not even ethnically Russian along with the Turks (Lenin-Ataturk) invented this so-called Azerbaijan republic in 1918 at the end of WW1 after the defeat and the fall of the Ottoman empire as a Turkish outpost in the South Caucasus and as a base of Soviet expansion. It was invented first as a home for the homeless Caucasian Muslim Tatars (Turkified Mongoloids) and renamed to Azerbaijan in 1936 despite protest from the Iranian government for stealing this name from the Persians for future anti-Iranian separatist agenda. That is to say calling this artificially-invented 107-year old Azerbaijani republic in South Caucasus as "northern Azerbaijan" and Iranian provinces bearing the same name as "southern Azerbaijan" and therefore the need and the demand for their reunification as one.
