Jackson was saved by the actions of Juan Cuevas.
The British ships first stopped at Cat Island off the coast of MS. Cat Island belonged to the Spanish. The British captain sent men ashore and stole cattle. Cuevas told them he would sell cattle, but they couldn't steal it.
Cuevas was captured and taken aboard. They demanded he show them the access to New Orleans via the waterways from the west.
Instead, Cuevas took them up the Pearl River and jumped overboard in the fog at night. The time wasted on that excursion allowed Jackson the time to get in place.
Jackson was a total POS
Welcome to America the country whose motto should be what's yours is mine and what's mine is mine 😵💫
The only president who brought the banks under control.
Jackson is the best president in history.
Not a philosopher or a thinker, not a statesman really, a war hero of sorts who won election, and took over like DJT😢. All the originals had passed.
What the hell kind of accent does the narrator have? Super annoying, no just ridiculous. Jackson was American for god’s sake. GTFOOH
This writer did not live in those times so he can't compare what he would or would not do. A town in Alabama was raided by the Indians the murders and tortured over 500 men women and children. That's what set Jackson off
Truly demonic
George Guess created the Cherokee syllabary, got called a witch by his wife and the other Cherokee and had a British father. Many natives were part British and made overtures to assert their citizenship to the UK. The British backed out typically. Eat asshole USA.
Jackson is what happens when Eurotrash invites themselves to the fan club.
The Creek were already mixing with Scotts and Irish by that point.
Trump wants to be Andrew Jackson, tariffs and all, but without learning a thing from history. He loves to pose as the fighter for the “common man” against the elites, waving the flag of nationalism and tariffs.
The truth is Jackson earned his place as a war hero, bleeding for the country, while Trump dodged the draft and hides on the golf course. Jackson wrecked the economy by killing the Bank of the United States and setting off the Panic of 1837. Trump chases the same tough guy image while ignoring that Jackson’s swagger left ordinary people paying the price
Mr Jackson went all out war on the corrupt banks and ended up ridding the nation of all debt. A first time achievement in the nation's history and still remains a one time achievement to this very day. But all of that only makes Mr Jackson an evil man. John Quincy Adams sat back and twiddled with his thumbs during his Presidency exactly like his father did but because he and his father never owned a slave in their lives they were both remarkable Presidents 😑
One of the greatest US presidents ❤
If you think about it, we are experiencing what it was like living under Jackson with Trump.
God bless Andrew Jackson 🎉 a great American HERO
he was on point w the banks- too bad we dont have someone on our side anymore
Jackson's move to deport Natives so to expand slavery was perfectly consistent with early objectives of the Revolution. Remember that the "Intolerble Laws" included the Royal Proclamation, which garanteed possession of their lands to the Natives and the Quebec Act, which garanteed the Canadians the right to practice their religion. American Revolution was not so much to fight oppression as to fight for the right to oppress others.
The White Sticks that had assisted Jackson and risked their own lives were rewarded by Jackson forcing them to give up their ancestral lands. That’s like someone helping their neighbors and their neighbors subsequently forcing them to pull up stakes and live somewhere else. That’s betrayal at its best.
Andrew Jackson Great person i inspired by him
Simon Kenton knocked Jackson out in a pub, nearly ending his life, when Jackson tried to bully Simon. This is documented in "The Frontiersman", a brilliantly detailed historical narrative with loads of sources and citations.
Bewildering that a man who committed systematic genocide is still revered.
There would be no America for you to down on without The great Andrew Jackson.
Under Andrew Jackson we did NOT have a enormous debt and the budget was balanced. Blaming Jackson for a dismul economy after he left was not entirely his fault although he is partly to blame.😊

8 years of terror is not the appropriate slogan when talking about the presidency of Andrew Jackson
Andrew Jackson was based
I love how history always repeats itself.
Jackson was RIGHTLY called the PEOPLES PRESIDENT!!! First President to KICK the BANKERS out of DC!
Andrew Jackson was the President he needed to be at the time. A great President.
Bullfeathers. Meetcha at The Hermitage for the bbq.
One of the Greatest Presidents in US history. A man of his time who cannot be judged with modern ideas.
