So she was originally an Anatolian goddess worshipped by Ionians and Carians in Anatolia and was later fully adopted into the Greek pantheon ????

Interesting, because Hesiod himself has Anatolian origins, as, while he was born in mainland Greece, his parents were Anatolian. And well he favored Hecate quite a bit. So……… Very interesting.

I'll name my kid this and her nickname will be cate/katie. Children will ask her name and learn.

Hekate is a Titan, of the Age of Creation before the Golden Age. She is/was a Mother Goddess of prehistory worshiped throughout prehistoric communities across the Mediterranean, Levant, North Africa, Thrace and Anatolia (where prehistoric humans settled in the 2nd wave out of Africa approx. 50-40,000 yrs ago). Hekate predates the Hellenic Greek gods and was the only Titan goddess who survived the "Titanomachy" (war with the Titans) bc of her support of the Olympians. Zeus respected her sovereignty and autonomy due to her vast following of worshipers extending far into the mists of prehistory. Long before she became the goddess of witchcraft she was "torchbearer" (Dadophoros) associated with the threshold between worlds/realities/liminal spaces (Propylaia) as the goddess of borders and crossroads (Enodia), childbirth (Eileithyia and Kourotrophos), and of guiding the dead to the underworld (Chthonia).

She's driving me insane. I DO NOT know her, do not worship her, dont want to see her, but even in dreams she's haunting me. Almost feel her everywhere.
