the Fed has never mentioned war as a factor, I forget the term he used but he meant war and that is inflationary. Inflation began with covid, tariffs are a one increase in price and not really the reason for the current inflation. Powel is using outdated economic theory. Cut rates and dollar declines and deflation issues, he would prefer rates going higher and will have not choice as war instensifies. Covd broke the supply chain, gave us BRICS which added to inflation
