The Aloadae or Aloads , in Greek mythology, were two giants named Otus and Ephialtes, sons of Poseidon. Extremely strong and ambitious, they attempted to conquer Olympus by piling mountains to reach the gods. They were so powerful that even the gods did not dare face them directly. In the end, they were tricked by Artemis, who defeated them both.
