In non-stop, the first officer was actually applying the reverse thrust
6:31 Actually First Officer Jeff Skiles had more experience than Sully at that time (+20.000 hours) and Sully +19.000 hours. Jeff was a 737 Captain with US Airways and he was transitioning to the A320. Therefore he was the First Officer with around 100 hours on the A320.
A corporate pilot commenting on airline pilot reactions and culture… They are vastly different. His analysis is full of holes. In corporate jets, their "flight attendants" can be up in the cockpit, but when it comes to airlines, they are ONLY up there if one of us leaves. I also can't believe that any pilot that flies jets, would be spreading this nonsense of "people and everything would be going through that hole" when it came to the window blowing out. Absolute nonsense. To say we want to land in the water if we're on fire? I question the qualifications of this "pilot".
mythbusters tested explosive decompression. paper will go all over the place, but nothing big is getting blown out. The pressure isn't that high.
That flight sim story is terrifying. Just the idea that someone can completely blank out on how much danger/discomfort they're putting everyone else on the aircraft through.
Shoutout to the Alaska Airlines crew that Flight was influenced by. Those real pilots did everything they could to fix an unfixable situation including the inversion. The wikipedia article and CVR is harrowing. The fact that Alaska Airline wasn’t fined into bankruptcy is a huge blot on history
Another movie clique is grunt and strain facial muscles to increase performance of airplane.

If you have to go through so much trouble to tell a fake is a fake, then I don't understand why you would make such a fuss about buying the real thing. I would happily buy a fake kisluxs and have no shame in admitting it is a fake
In Sully, what impressed me was that Sully, very soon after the bird strike and engines spooling down, had the mindfulness to hit the APU as quickly as possible.
What scares me are the people who believe what the see in movies and on TV is real. Those are the people who will doom society. The magats

Honestly, I think landing in the water was the smartest move period they were full of Jet Fuel if it had been a ground landing and even one spark happened, they'd all would have likely died instead they all lived.
I still think Millennium is the most accurate lol
Only thing about Flight that bothered me was how panicked the 1st officer was, he was acting like a passenger who was forced to help fly the plane lol
I find all these reviews amusing and sometimes really silly . Especially when they review cartoons ( animated movies ) for accuracy . If you want real and accurate watch a documentary , movies are for entertainment . If they get close or are accurate that's a bonus .
Just a personal thought .
