Al Gore has blasted the Trump administration during a speech in San Francisco, likening recent actions to the early rise of Nazi Germany.
The former vice-president and Nobel Peace Prize winner urged Americans to resist Trump’s efforts to overturn US climate policy and to protect democratic institutions.
“The Trump administration is insisting on trying to create their own preferred version of reality,” he told listeners.
“The Nazis, and I quote again, attacked the very heart of the distinction between true and false.”
