Silent Garden Lecture serves as resource for teachers of the Deaf

The Silent Garden Program at Fresno State is accepting registration for its 13th annual lecture from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (PST), Saturday, Feb. 22. Presented virtually, the free lecture will focus on “58-In-Mind: multilingual teaching strategies for diverse Deaf students,” and will include keynote presentations by a team of selected researchers and P-12 teachers. The 58-In-Mind model is a book that encompasses research-based strategies and best practices for using American Sign Language and English across various curricula and grade levels and is meant to serve as a helpful resource for current and future teachers of Deaf students. Each of the 10 presenters will share their approaches outlined in the book. INFO: View full event agenda and register online or contact Dr. Paul Ogden at thesilentgarden@csufresno.edu
