The last time war in the Middle East collided with a fragile monetary system, Americans paid the price for a decade. That is why stagflation and gold are back in the conversation today. With oil volatility surging, inflation still elevated, and economic growth weakening, the warning signs look disturbingly familiar.

Oil Brent crude is $107 18 march 2026
Basically the US is f#£&3d.
Take a lesson from 1930`s Germany
Maybe this will help USA become a normal oil consumer, and energy consumer, water consumer, if you become like Denmark Germany Japan and most developed countries you reduce your consumption by 50% or more, and your overall consumption by 10% and you will become a balanced normal country that can start paying back its insane debt. The USA is the largest oil producer 13.7 million barrels per day, but consumption is 20.6 million barrels per day.
US consumption is the same as China and India combined 2800 million people consume the same amount of crude oil as 350 million people, something is very wrong in the USA, and it collapsed or gradually changed no change of continuously over consumption
There is generally no sensible reason for Central banks to buy up gold. it has no relationship to their currency and can only be seen as a reserve. As such only the US has any real reason to keep it as a hedge, against their stupidly self incurred debt created entirely by their own irresponsibility of making laws to ensure government spending is created as debt. Debt that MUST be sold to the private sector and actually being corporate welfare. This defeating the real power of fiat currencies which the Chinese have used brilliantly with their economic growth generated by its use takiing them ahead of all in most aspects of production, infrastructure and R&D amongst other things.
Governments don't need gold they can meet their commitments at any time. China proves it. OK they have a quality of gold. but that's a hedge against their holdings of US currency more than supporting the Yuan.
More BS
And the Americans should pay first and foremost. Its your savage politicians started this s***
They can do it they will reset all debts reset it all to zero and the fiat currency cash money paper bill must reset too
Ok why are we at war spending 20billion a day at war . but not fund social security or anything else
How could a businessman that's bankrupted What six businesses wasn't gonna bankrupt America obviously doesn't understand human character…
Covert commercial real-estate into low income condos
We need to put America FIRST and stop fighting wars for israel
israel is a HUGE burden on US tax payers – TRILLIONS plus tens of thousand of US lives
Yes I will stop de war and negociate with Iran, this will stop the increase price for oil…
public debt/ gdp is irrelevant. Public debt doesn't cause economic collapse, private debt does. If governments stop spending then this too will increase unemployment and also cause a collapse.
Perform an analysis yourself using AI. In times of oil crisis, geopolitical instability, and high inflation, consider what gold does.
Example: oil crisis 1970 to 1979; it rose by more than 2000%
Folks we are witnessing the collapse of the west, Europe, Japan, Korea included. Trumps policies are accelerating the inevitable. His tariffs, immigration policies and now he & the Zionists just started a war that is costing half a billion an hour! Great just what we needed. Commercial real estate is in big trouble leases are expiring, can’t renew when most big buildings are -50% occupied and interest rates are now higher. That in itself will bring down hundreds of banks causing a domino effect. Then we have the $38-39 trillion debt growing by a trillion per quarter! Not sustainable! The Ponzi scheme is about done. Everyone is dumping U.S. debt & buying gold. The Feds need to sell trillions in bonds just to keep the lights on! Not happening. There are many factors at play. This cannot be fixed the people in charge caused this mess, they and their policies are the problem! The entire tree is rotten and will soon come crashing down. No bailout this time, the monster has grown too big. A bloated overvalued AI bubble based on irrational exuberance, 600 trillion in derivatives! It was only 60 trillion in the 2009 crash. Things are beyond bad. Buckle up folks things are about to get much worse.
Unemployment 4% only a fool believes that BS. That number is based on people on unemployment and people filing new claims. Not people who had gig jobs, nor the tens of thousands of new grads who can’t find work nor all the people who have been deported who had jobs. All the homeless who have stopped looking for work. Or all the business owners who lost their businesses. The number is more likely around 20% and about to get much worse.
4:33 All this is happening at a time when an orange minion is in White House. You gotta call Uncle Gru for this 😂😂😂😂😂
Here is the part everybody gets wrong: interest rates have essentially no impact on inflation. Furthermore, interest rate hikes are expansionary while great cuts are contractionary. There are two sides of the equation. There is the interest paid by the Treasury (on securities it issues AFTER the “deficit spending has already happened) and there are the interest payments that investors receive.
Nobody is “buying our debt“ because the federal government is the sole issue US dollars. No entity on earth can lend money to the United States Treasury. The government could not spend $1 trillion next week, auction $1 trillion in treasuries, and every last one of them will sell
Yeah, but there was no gas shortage in 73 either. They just filled the tanks and closed the stores and created the issue. We were robbed then watch for it again.
The United States has a 256 trillion dollar debt has all dollars in the world are printed off of debt notes. All those death notes will be sent back to the Federal reserve which will find an unsustainable to be able to pay.
I remember my grandmother complaining because gas was .25 cents a gallon when filling her car
Raising rates AND running a surplus budget solves it. You don't issue new debt, but pay off old now rapidly becoming worthless debt.
Gold. Swiss Francs. Property. Protect yourself.
