ARMENIANS IN IRAN: AN INCREDIBLE STORY OF SURVIVAL

How do 150,000 Christians live in one of the most theocratic countries in the world?

How have they preserved their faith, language, and culture after four centuries?

Why are Armenian wineries legally operating in the Islamic Republic?

In this documentary, we delve into the hidden world of Armenians in Iran—
from the majestic churches of Isfahan to modern Tehran,
from ancient traditions to the challenges of the 21st century.

📍 WHAT’S INSIDE:

00:00 – Intro: Who are the Armenians of Iran?
1:30 AM – History: How Shah Abbas Relocated the Armenians in 1604
5:30 AM – Armenian Cities: Vank Cathedral, New Julfa, Tehran
10:30 AM – Religion: Christian Churches in the Islamic Republic
1:30 PM – Food and Wine: Forbidden Foods Legal for Armenians
4:30 PM – Relations with the Persians: 400 Years of Coexistence
8:00 PM – Politics: How Armenians Gained a Seat in the Iranian Parliament
11:00 PM – Youth and the Future: Emigration or Preservation?
26:30 – Conclusion: Survival Lessons for Small Nations

🔑 KEY FACTS:

• 150,000 Armenians live in Iran today (up from 300,000 in 1979)
• The only Christian minority with constitutional protection
• Vank Cathedral in Isfahan – a masterpiece of Armenian-Persian architecture
• Armenian wineries operate legally in a “dry” country
• 1 guaranteed seat in the Iranian parliament
• Armenian schools, churches, and media operate freely

⚡ WHY THIS IMPORTANT:

While Christians are disappearing throughout the Middle East (90% have left Iraq, 50% Syria), the Armenians of Iran are surviving. Their story is a lesson in how to
preserve identity in the most difficult circumstances.

Iran is occupied by arab stricken Mullah’s Regime known as Islamic Republic since 1979 not 400 years ago! All ethnicities lived together as one nation with equal rights until 1979

Armenians are regarded as God's chosen people, His true people. For this reason, the Lord Jesus sent two of His Apostles to Armenia to teach for His purpose, and they fulfilled many biblical prophecies, especially those in the New Testament.

The Lord says, "And all will hate you for My name. He who endures to the end will be saved." (Matthew 10:22) But all this will be done for the sake of My name, because they do not know the One who sent Me (John 15:22).

Moreover, Jewish and Christian Armenians are worshipping the same God—the good news. Many Jews are coming to Christ—read Isaiah 53—finding the TRUTH.

The good news is that many Iranians are coming to Christ by the power of the Lord.

As for Azerbaijanis, they are controlled by Satan (Lord God showed me). Unsaved souls keep missing out on God’s Gift—through our Lord Jesus (Romans 6:23). They need to come out of darkness—Lord God allowing them to repent, stop wickedness and lies, and believe in the Lord Jesus, the Disciple and Ambassador.

Stop using silly, unrealistic illustrations developed by AI. Nothing about the Armenians of Iran resembles those developed by AI. It would be better if you would show few, but real photos.

Turkey and the Turkic people have settled and occupied historically Armenian territories and pushed Armenian people out to across the world .
Most Armenian people in Iran are descendants of Armenian people who have been living in Iranian plateau for thousands of years

Armenian ate a part of Ashkaanian era kingdom, they are northern iranian and I think first group of iranian to become chirstian, they lived in the Northen part in western part- after shah ismaiel shah abbas mo ed them to Espehaan area and they settled in an area called Joulfa- we dont consider them as foreigners but iranian from the Greater Pahlavian region.they are a group of people from the Ashkanian era and they were involved ed in making and creating new industrial ithems as it was in the past before Saasaanian era- they were not living in a islamic foreign country but in the iran belonging to them too.

Not all Armenians of Iran are refugees of Turkish genocide or displayed from Julfa by Shah Abbas , My ancestors were from Lake Urmia region where used to be part of Armenian kingdom, the rest is thousands years of history. It is not easy to live as a Christian in Iran , after centuries living in that country still there is no Armenian or any Christian having important position in government and life is not a normal living in that country for Christians.
