Kings and Generals animated historical series on the history of early modern period, Iranian and Muslim empires continues with a video on the rise of Nader Shah during the late stages of the Safavid empire. Nader Shah’s climb isn’t just a story of battlefield brilliance—it’s a masterclass in turning chaos into power. In 1729, with Iran shattered by famine, disease, and Afghan occupation, Nader pivots from securing the east to ripping the invaders out of the Safavid heartland. You’ll follow the campaign toward Isfahan, beginning with Ashraf Hotaki’s push into Khorasan and the decisive Battle of Mehmandost, where Nader’s disciplined musketeers, artillery, and a calculated “retreat” shatter a larger cavalry-heavy army. After outmaneuvering an ambush near Varamin, Nader meets Ashraf again at Murche-Khort—then marches into Isfahan as the capital rejoices at the return of Safavid rule. But victory creates new problems: Nader leverages fatigue and politics to extract provinces, taxes, and royal marriages, transforming himself from commander into powerbroker. The war then shifts west against the Ottomans, culminating in Malayer Valley and the recapture of key cities. Finally, rebellion in the east sparks another Herat campaign—setting the stage for Nader’s decisive move: removing Tahmasp and ruling as regent over the infant Abbas III.

One of the famous Azerbaijani turk general but l hate he because he betrayed Azerbaijani Safavids.
Long live the pre-AI slop channels. We don't need many dramatization pics to enjoy this. Thanks for your consistency with good research and succinct presentation!
One of the best generals iran ever had
This video is about persia King then persian subtitle is unavailable it's hilarious 😂😂
If Nader Shah actually have granddaughters, he might resorted to be engage one of them with the new Shah here so that he can maintained the facade that Iran is still under the rule of the House of Safavid.
Afshars, like the Safavids, were of Turkic origin 🗿
Afshars vs Mughals;
The Turkic Civil War 💀
Nader belonged to the Turkoman Afshars
❤❤❤❤
Persian were strong
Nader shah of Iran zamin is our hero. Thanks for making this video. 🇮🇷
The history of Turkic people is extremely diversified and complex, affecting the global history significantly. Nader Shah (Nadergulu) originally from a Turkic Afshar tribe, winning against Turkic ruling Ottomans…. And there are sooo many instances like this. Yet people say Turks have no history, crazy….
Shah Ismail and Nadir Shah were definitely Turks. Iranian nationalists, don't be fooled.
Please add persian subtitle for video
Suggestion 🖐️
If possible, I recommend working with the Ancient Caravan group
They've made a full documentary on Nader Shah's life, wars, battles, skirmishes and strategies
It's 12 episodes in total
They can be of great help
I appreciate this part because while I knew about Nader I was more familiar with the later period.
I'm happy to see channels notifying the user that it is NOT AI. more should do this to fight back against AI slop that goes under the radar.

Nader shah 🇮🇷 🦁 ☀️
Can someone explain why Nadir left his cavalry deployed in the open field?
Positioning the infantry and artillery on the hill is understandable, but I don’t understand the reasoning behind leaving several thousand cavalry seemingly unprotected on open ground.
Instead of sending a small advance guard to engage the Persian cavalry, if Ashraf Hotaki had deployed the majority of his cavalry to overwhelm them, the outcome might have been very different.
Would it not have been more prudent for Nadir Shah to conceal at least part of his cavalry behind the hill? Then, once fighting on the slope intensified, they could have launched a decisive attack against the Afghan flank.
For sure I am looking forward to the battles of khyber pass and karnal and the reason why is because in the case of Khyber pass the battle is very interesting as during it Nader would use the same tactic that Hannibal used at cannae aka the hammer and anvil tactic. And Nader used it as his son Morteza Mirza Afshar attacked the Mughal forces in the pass head on while Nader made an incredible 80 kilometer flank march and attacked the Mughal force’s from the rear. And I am looking forward to seeing the battle of karnal because at this battle Nader who had approximately 55,000 to 100,000 fighting troops faced a force of 75,000 to over 300,000 Mughal forces which also included 2,000 war elephants. However even though the Mughals had the higher numbers Nader crushed this army which was six times greater than his own in less than 3 hours.
زیر نویس فارسی چرا نمیذاری؟؟؟
Nadir Şah (Nader Şah) was also Turkish and Safevid were also a Turkish Empire. Atamans, Babür, Timurid, Gazneli, Memlûk, Golden Horde, Selchuk were all Turkish Empires!
I love you kings and generals. You finally did it 💯.
Now We Need Another Nader To Put America and his puppets and terrorists to their Places !!!
