We are sitting pretty financially.
I bought a slightly used 2019 truck in 2020 right before the prices got completely out of control. At that time, I was getting a lot of overtime and decided to double and sometimes triple my payments. I paid off that truck in 2022 because i'm sick of making car payments. I do all my own maintenance. It's not that hard. Now I have a lot more money for investments. Hopefully, that truck will last at least another ten years
Dude you cannot just ask for a 6% raise when you want
You clearly haven’t worked for a large corporation before
I love Japreets advice! It makes sense. I’m retiring this yr. I’m confident my investments and living within my means will help me to enjoy retirement.

I have never owned or leased a car…and I'm still alive and have a life…
I like it! and I always paid attention to how much people work for their cars
It’s more like this by the time you get your car paid off after you had financed it for seven years. The car you just paid off is starting to break down so you take that newly paid off old beat up used car and get a newer one and a newer payment. I know this has happened to me twice.
So….what if you never HAD any money to invest until you were 53…and you're now 56? Advice?
Great info! Glad i stumbled upon this video
Buying a BMW is just so much more of a fun way of spending money than buying stocks and then checking boring numbers on a screen every day 🎉
Come to Jesus ❤
should i invest in globa index funds or should i invest in acvtively managed mutual fund?
Couple of things to note, unless you have the money to buy it outright and REALLY WANT want it, a new car is such a bad investment. Not only does it depreciate by the hundreds, if not the thousands the second you drive it off the lot, some states will require you to purchase insurance for full coverage, depending on what kind of car you get. And second, what I learned from listening to Jaspreet in regard to asking for a raise/increasing your income at your job, 1-2% increase may look good on paper, but it’s not keeping up with yearly inflation. On average, it’s been in the 2+% ballpark. So that 2% raise might still be a loss for you to where you still can’t keep up with inflation. It’s almost like a pay cut, if you will. Him saying this made me reevaluate what I’ve been taught about finances for all this time.
Can’t really do the house affordability thing in Australia or New Zealand the house prices here are cooked Auckland the biggest city is a joke 1.2 million for a garden shed people are embracing small houses called tiny homes to scrape by
I paid for my blazer 16 years ago, fully in cash! for 5 grand! never made another payment since
What's your thoughts on buying tax liens or an investment last year this county was given 15% return on the money

Thank you for all the knowledge and insights you ve shared with me over the past few months. I began this journey in November 2024. Financial education is essential for over 70% of the population, as only a few are truly literate in this area.
If you own a home I highly recommend getting a home warranty. There are several options and different companies. Mine is with American home shield. It offsets the cost of having to buy new appliances or paying in full for a repair. Look into it.
This also means that if I buy a $90k car when I’m 40. That car will cost me over $2M opportunity cost if I would have invested that money! Crazy.
Sad part is people will watch this and not do it
Getting Alaxio ALX during this presale phase might be the smartest move before Q3.
