Poor Nebet-Het/Nephthys always gets left out except in what she does for and (in the case of Set/Seth/Sutekh) against her siblings. She helped Isis both to find and resurrect Osiris' body. In narratives where she's wed to Set, she left him for his betrayal in the Osirian narrative. In that narrative she raised young Heru/Horus as if he was her own during Set's reign over Kemet (Ancient Egypt), as Isis would also do with her son Anpu/Anubis. But she's an enigmatic goddess on purpose, it seems, being connected to death and the dead, the desert's edge, embalming, healing, magic, mystery and the Moon (along with Djehuti/Thoth). I'm glad you mentioned her a couple of times. This was a great video, thanks!
That was a brilliant documentary about Egyptian mythology!
This documentary delves deep into the remarkable and vogue deities in Egyptian mythology; these gods, and goddesses are enthralling and colourful characters.
I cannot wait to watch the other immersing, and captivating Egyptian mythology documentaries!
There were no jackals in ancient Egypt. Anubis is really an extinct Egyptian wolf. Recent research suggests that the animal most likely represented in Egyptian funerary deities like Anubis was not a true jackal, but rather a subspecies of wolf called the African wolf (Canis lupaster), which was present in ancient Egypt; meaning there were technically no "jackals" in the sense of the common jackal species as we know them today.
I can appreciate you putting these videos out to try to educate people, but can we keep it more authentic? Egyptian a.k.a.Kemetite deities were all black. Stop showing all these white people as if they were the original people on the hottest place on the planet, which was called Afrika a.k.a. Alkebulan, which means "land of the blacks”
