Social media influencer Rosmar Tan is facing backlash after sharing that she had an ultrasound at an emergency room.
In a now-deleted Facebook post, Tan expressed her excitement about getting the ultrasound to see her baby, saying, “Wala daw kasi ultrasound meron lang kapag sa ER [There’s only ultrasound when you’re in the ER].”
This did not sit well with everyone who saw the post, with a doctor who works at an emergency room even calling her out stating that, “Emergencies are made for urgent and critical cases.” The doctor was also worried for Tan’s own safety as there are a lot of diseases she can get in an emergency room, proceeding to remind her of the things that she could have done so as to not have caused any trouble.
With the post gaining a lot of attention, the influencer then posted on her Facebook page explaining what really happened.
“Mismong ospital ang nagsabi na pwede lang mag paultrasound kung mag papa ER ako. And kaya ako nag pa ultrasound nung araw na un dahil may “spotting” ako at buntis ako. Kahit sino naman sigurong nanay o buntis kung may spotting dederetso agad ng ER at gusto makita kung safe ang baby sa tyan at kakabahan lalo na kung 1st trimester [The hospital itself said that an ultrasound can only be done if I go to the ER. That’s why I got an ultrasound that day because I have ‘spotting’ and I’m pregnant. Any mother or pregnant woman who has spotting would immediately go to the ER and want to see if the baby is safe in the stomach and will be nervous, especially if it’s the 1st trimester],” she wrote.
Social media users then took to the comments of her explanatory post to express their thoughts about what transpired from this situation.
This is so wrong. May emergency case ba siya kaya tumakbo si Rosmar sa Emergency Room? pic.twitter.com/V09lnb1TJ9

Tan further explained on her TikTok account, sharing screenshots of her conversations with a doctor to justify why she needed to go to the ER. “Minsan kasi mali mali ‘yung construction ko kahit Tagalog. ‘Di ako ‘yung perfectionist na may iniingatang image,” she stated.
