Thank you for shedding some light on the struggle Yemenis and Yemeni beekeepers are facing. The war caused so much loss on every level and it's heartbreaking to see our people suffer. As a Syrian beekeeper who survived Assad's war on Syrians I found peace and solace around bees and they changed my life completely. If you're reaching policy makers in the UK, US and any other country, please focus on discussing the nature of their partnerships with the war against Yemen and the use of their weapons against civilians. Maybe it's even time to talk about accountability and arm companies that supplied oppressive regimes with weapons that were used to commit warcrimes. Thank you for your work and for the platform Afikra, for a while I have been thinking of ways to help Syrian beekeepers and watching this inspired an action that I can take in the UK where I live now.
