Just as the brightest stars illuminate the winter sky, GOT7 is set to turn its long-awaited comeback into a moment of cosmic brilliance.
For its highly anticipated return as a full unit, the globally esteemed South Korean septet is poised to orbit into the spotlight again with a new mini-album titled “Winter Heptagon” on Jan. 20, 2025.
The beloved seven-member powerhouse revealed the news through a social media post linked to a report by the South Korean online platform Naver.

The album derives inspiration from the Winter Hexagon, a notable celestial formation made up of six bright stars — Sirius, Procyon, Pollux, Castor, Capella and Aldebaran — with fans speculating the inclusion of the red supergiant Betelguese to form the heptagon, in homage to the group’s seven-member lineup.

JAY B, the septet’s leader, previously confirmed the group’s much-anticipated revival during his solo concert in Seoul on Dec. 7. This came after some of the members, notably BamBam and Jinyoung, casually teased the group’s return.
“Winter Heptagon” will be GOT7’s first collective effort since its self-titled extended play (EP) in January 2022, as well as its second release since its departure from JYP Entertainment in 2021, when it was in its seventh year.

More details about the mini-album are expected to be unveiled in the coming days.
Despite being currently signed to different agencies, the members have consistently quashed assumptions of the group’s disbandment, saying they are keeping good to their promise to always stay as seven.
“Nothing is coming to an end, just the beginning. The seven of us are going to continue to bring you guys the best version of us till the end,” GOT7’s Mark said after the septet’s exit from its former label.
The esteemed group of seven, composed of JAY B, Mark Tuan, Jackson Wang, Park Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom, made its introduction in the music world with the release of its debut album “Identify.” This was followed by four studio albums and 16 EPs.
