Living below our means is different from depriving ourselves of a good life. Being frugal is one thing, but being cheap can also punish us later. Cheap alternatives can sometimes end up becoming more expensive in the long term.

I am all about being honest, smart and effective and knowledgeable. However, I know people who are emotionally controlling and cruel and force suffering on others and use "cheap "as an excuse to do so. The way you live is just as important as having financially sound goals. It's a balancing act. Kindness,generousaty and understanding others and enjoying life is just as important. Taking care of yourself is just as important. The cheap need to heal. The spenders that are irresponsible need to heal. Hopefully there is a path in the middle of both extremes, that balances the unique circumstances in life. Thank you for your videos.

I’m one of those frugal guys and I agree with a lot of this but I think your missing a big part that cheap/savers tend to pay off debt quickly or live without it. With little to no debt you don’t need nearly as much income to feel wealthy. Especially if your used to living below your means.
