Niki’s fans kicked off their pre-Valentine’s celebrations with a night of music and emotions as NIKI’s Buzz World Tour made its Manila stop on February 11. The highly anticipated show marked the first of her sold-out concerts in the city, with another on February 12 and an additional date set for March 1.
The Indonesian powerhouse then kicked off the show with “Buzz,” the titular track of her latest album, followed by “Colossal Loss” and “Keeping Tabs.”
“Hi Manila, how you guys doin’? You sound like you’re doing good. I’m so, so happy to be back here. Thank you so much for coming. You sold out the show instantly, thank you so, so much,” NIKI greeted the crowd.
“Welcome to the Buzz Around the World tour. We’re calling it that this time because I wrote this album all around the world, and now I get to play it all around the world. Tonight, we’re taking you on that journey with Buzz. You wanna come?”
She then continued with “Focus,” a single from her latest album, “urs,” as well as “Autumn” and “Lowkey” from her previous albums.
Slowing things down, NIKI transitioned into an acoustic set.
“It has been clear to me that no matter where we are in the world, we all know about love and loss, joy and pain. Music makes us feel all of that. I can only hope that you hear songs in my music, my lyrics, and feel along with me. Long story short, thank you for being here from the bottom of my heart. I love you, guys,” she told the crowd before playing “Did You Like Her in the Morning,” “Take Care,” and her 2019 hit “La La Lost You.”
Bringing the energy back up, she followed with Blue Moon, Strong Girl, and Tsunami before tugging at heartstrings with Oceans & Engines—a moment that saw the Filipino crowd passionately singing the final verses.
In the middle of Blue Moon, NIKI had to pause to check on fans in the standing area who needed medical attention. “Are you good? Take care of each other, guys!” she reminded them.
After ensuring everything was settled, she seamlessly picked up where she left off, allowing the show to go on.
As a special treat for Manila, she delivered a heartfelt rendition of The Cranberries’ hit Linger, drawing cheers from the audience, who were delighted by the unexpected performance.
She then went to the piano for The Apartment We Won’t Share, Paths, and Magnets, delivering an intimate and emotional performance.
NIKI wrapped up the night with a string of crowd favorites, including High School in Jakarta, Take a Chance With Me, and the fan-favorite anthem Backburner, leaving the audience in awe as they sang along to every word.
With Manila once again proving to be one of her most passionate audiences, NIKI’s Buzz World Tour stop was nothing short of unforgettable.
