MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) said there are now 846 violators of the existing gun ban imposed for the 2025 midterm elections.
The PNP’s National Election Monitoring Action Center (NEMAC), in coordination with the Commission on Elections (Comelec), logged the following in violation of the gun ban, as of Feb. 11:
- 796 civilians
- 23 security guards
- Seven Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) personnel
- Five PNP personnel
- Five personnel of other law enforcement agencies
- Four foreign nationals
- Two appointed government officials
- Two elected government officials
- One Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Active Auxiliary personnel
- One child in conflict with the law
The National Capital Region had the most apprehensions at 251, followed by Central Luzon with 139 then by Central Visayas with 100.

The violators yielded 841 firearms, which were the following:

- 330 revolvers
- 253 pistols
- 34 replica guns
- 24 Class A firearms
- 21 explosives
- Eight rifles
- Seven shotguns
- Two Class B firearms
- 162 other types of firearms

According to the PNP data, the firearms were seized in 363 police response operations, 117 gun buy-bust operations, 86 checkpoint operations, 50 anti-illegal drug operations, and 225 other law enforcement operations.
As for election-related incidents (ERIs), the PNP said it was validating four suspected ERIs, one each in Central Luzon, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and Caraga.

The national police still reported only one validated ERI in Western Visayas.
Meanwhile, 11 incidents were classified as non-ERIs: six in Western Visayas, two in Cagayan Valley, and one each in Ilocos Region, Soccsksargen and the Bangsamoro Administrative Region in Muslim Mindanao.
