It’s fun to stop at Starbucks or your favorite local café to pick up a tasty latte or quick cup of coffee. Indeed, having pros make your favorite drink is a time-saving luxury we all like to indulge in from time to time. But when you make it a habit of going out for coffee too often, it can really add up when you balance your checkbook. Luckily, it’s easy to learn to make your own coffee beverages at home — especially when you have a machine that knows exactly what you like.

I recently had the opportunity to test out Terra Kaffe’s TK-02, an editor- and celeb-approved super automatic espresso machine that happens to be up to $300 off for Valentine’s Day — if you grab one before February 10.

The TK-02 is a beast of a coffee machine. It looks stunning, it’s easy to use, it makes a wide range of coffee drinks quickly, and, most importantly, its beverages taste good. When evaluating the best espresso machines on the market, our testing editors said the TK-02 is “a truly beautiful countertop appliance that works well and has a useful app to help you control every aspect of the machine.” They went on to recommend this machine to anybody “looking for a near-perfect espresso, cup of coffee, or specialty milk drink with the simple touch of a button.” If that’s not enough praise, celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Jimmy Kimmel, and Bethenny Frankel rank among the brand’s devoted fans.

I’m a huge coffee head (former barista here) and have my tried-and-true methods for daily coffee. For me to want to use something new, even for a week, it has to be pretty good. (Like most people, caffeine is a central part of my day, so I take it seriously.) Initially, I was skeptical of Terra Kaffe’s machine, because it claims to do so much. But yes, the TK-02 can make everything from normal drip coffee, espresso, and lattes (both dairy and plant-based) to more precise drinks like cortados, macchiatos, and cappuccinos. If you crave something the coffee shop down the street would have, this machine can probably make it; it even does iced drinks. And after using it for espresso, drip, and more complex drinks for the past week, I’m convinced that it’s a great option for people who want to forego more traditional (aka manual) avenues for coffee.

Switching to the TK-02 is a luxurious choice, as it offers concierge-level service: You can control it from an app and save your settings, meaning you can literally place an order from bed and have your dream coffee drink appear in your kitchen minutes later. The app syncs up perfectly — in fact, it’s so responsive that, when first exploring it I accidentally started brewing a cup of coffee and had to run from my desk into the kitchen to cancel it before my cats had the opportunity to become as overcaffeinated as I am right now.

Even though you don’t have direct access to the grinder and the internal working parts of the espresso machine — that’s what “super automatic” means — you can still customize things pretty thoroughly. For example, I brewed a cup of drip using beans from my Counter Culture coffee subscription and found it to be a bit weak for my tastes. I went into the settings and had it grind the beans a bit finer (you can also use pre-ground coffee) and lowered the bean-to-water ratio to what I use when I make my own coffee (about 1:15, if you must know). Subsequent cups were more up my alley. The same kinds of settings are available for other drinks: You can make your lattes frothier, or change the number of shots, milk volume, and even the espresso profile of your cappuccino. If you’re somebody with strong preferences when it comes to coffee, you’ll find a formidable barista in the TK-02. It’s up to the challenge.

If you want to explore the TK-02 and see what all the hype is about (or just make coffee like Jennifer Aniston), grab one while it’s on sale. It’s $200 off if you buy the machine alone, but you’ll save $300 if you buy the machine and sign up for a coffee subscription.
