The Miss Philippines Earth pageant is celebrating a milestone year this 2025 and has set an August schedule for its silver edition, celebrating two and a half decades of championing the environment through beauty and pageantry.

“Miss Philippines Earth takes on the theme of HOPE and presents ‘The Silver Lining on its 25th,’ ever shining brightly for the world to see! Don’t miss this milestone on August 9, 2025!” the national pageant organization announced on social media.

Carousel Productions established the Miss Philippines Earth and its counterpart international competition Miss Earth in 2001 to serve as platforms for promoting environmental causes and pushing for ecotourism.

The winners, as well as the candidates, of both the national and international pageants are dubbed “Beauties for a Cause” and are expected to spearhead programs that promote sustainability and protect the environment.

The national competition chooses the Philippines’ representative to the Miss Earth pageant every year, and four Filipino women have won the international title to date — Karla Henry in 2008, Jamie Herrell in 2014, Angelia Ong in 2015, and Karen Ibasco in 2017.
